I just started doing whatever I could get my hands on. High School Plays, local projects, extra work etc. As far as agents go it varies by state. The biggest thing to remember is if they want you to pay them to find you work they are NOT an agent, they are a scam.

I’ve only owned one pair of vans in my life. I’m not too big of a fan. They’re just too clunky for me. I like lighters shoes, so I tend to go with converse instead. They do make lighters van now but I’ve never really owned a pair so I couldn’t say for sure if they’re any better. I know that converse run about $30 at Target (or cheaper if they’re on sale) vs. $45-55 vans I’ve been seeing everywhere.
