blu-beauty:

So I found this awesome sugar scrub recipe on one of my absolute fave blogs, DresslikeR5. I have come across tons of sugar scrubs since I started looking roughly two years ago and I have found one that works as well as this.

I applied it to my legs, after shaving and it felt so amazing I decided to use it on my whole body. And let me tell you I don’t think my skin has ever felt so soft.

The effect it had on legs is what really stood out to me. Normally, after shaving my legs look and feel really dry (even after applying moisturizer). After using the scrub, my legs were almost silky smooth and my skin looked great! I couldn’t stop wearing my shorts.

I highly recommend this scrub to anyone looking a body exfoliant.

You can find the recipe and original post here.

Please please please heed the warning of using exfoliants daily! Exfoliating everyday irritates to skin, causing even more dry skin!

Side notes:
– I suggest that if you do make this scrub only make as much as you will use in one shower. I found that leaving the scrub overnight caused the sugar to become syrupy. Rendering it useless.

– Try cutting the recipe in half for your first try to see if you like it!

Any brand of Raw Cane Sugar should work for this scrub. You can try different brands until you find a kind that works and fits your budget!

Just make sure that the sugar you buy is Raw Cane sugar and not Granulated, it will not work the same.

Love, Pyper.

I’m so glad you like it!  I know that Rydel’s body wash was a thicker kind so it will depend on what body wash you use as to whether it will get syrupy or not. I’d test it before you make a huge batch. <3
